JavaScript is the programming language of HTML and the world wide Web and is easy to learn.

In this javascript class, We will learn JavaScript, starting from scratch and go on to advanced concepts like OOP (Object-oriented programming). We will start with the javascript language itself here, with the minimum of environment-specific notes.

later in this tutorial series, we will start learning how to manage the browser page, add elements, manipulate their size and position, dynamically create interfaces & interact with the user. As time goes on we will include List of additional topics that assume you’ve covered the first parts of this tutorial.

Why Study JavaScript

There are three technologies/codding languages that make up the front-end of almost all webpages on the internet. Html CSS and javascript. JavaScript is one of the three (3) languages all web developers must learn:

  • 2. CSS, a styling language to specify the layout of web pages.
  • 3. Javascript, a scripting programming language to program the behaviour of web pages.

Every webdeveloper need to learn javascript, infact with javascript, you can become a full stack web developer. Web pages are not the only place where JavaScript is used nowadays.

The javascript programming language is now everywhere, Many desktop and server programs use JavaScript. Node.js is the best-known server side framework. Many databases, like MongoDB and CouchDB, also use JavaScript as their programming language.

Note: JavaScript and Java are completely different programming languages, both in concept and design. JavaScript was invented by Brendan Eich in 1995 and became an ECMA standard in the year 1997. ECMA-262 is the official name of the standard and ECMAScript is the accepted official name of the language.
